Comfy Seats: Amish Rockers, Gliders, and Recliners

Since our Amish craftsmen are known for their expertise in woodworking, you might not think we can offer comfortable seating options. While it’s true that they don’t make traditional sofas & loveseats, we can still carry an excellent assortment of rockers, gliders, recliners, and more!

Wooden Rocking Chairs

A sturdy oak rocking chair is the ultimate Amish furniture piece. Not only are they built to an unmatched standard of quality, but they harken to a simpler lifestyle, just like how the Amish live.

The first thing you notice when trying out one of our rockers is just how surprisingly comfortable the wood seat is. Our builders use a deep scoop seat for a perfect fit. We also offer some styles with a curved lumbar support, for those who prefer it.

We typically try to keep two or three styles of rocking chairs in stock to be taken home right away. Additionally, you may choose to order any of our rocking chairs in your favorite wood & stain. Many of our dining chair styles are also available as rockers.

And don’t forget about your little ones! We have adorable child’s rockers, built to the same quality standards as the rest of our furniture.

Cushioned Glider Rockers

Our cushioned glider rockers are consistently our number one seller! Unlike a traditional up-and-down rocking motion, the glider rockers stay level while moving back and forth. Optional matching ottomans mimic the same motion for ultimate comfort.

Our gliders are available with or without a swivel base. Some people find it easiest to stand up from the glider if they swivel it away from the ottoman.

Wood-Frame Sofas & Loveseats

Occasionally, we’ll get questions about wood frame sofas, loveseats, and chairs. While we do have quite a few styles available from our builders, we do not show any in our store. Simply put, they’re not especially comfortable. If you really like the look, we recommend using them in formal sitting rooms, and not in your primary living and relaxing area.

Recliners

We’ve recently been able to add a recliner to our showroom displays. It is available as a push-back or a wall-hugger. In addition to choosing your wood & stain, we also have a beautiful assortment of fabrics for you to choose from.
