Why We Love It

The English Shaker Dining Cabinets are built by Ivan, one of the first Amish builders we started working with, back in 2002. Ivan’s dining room cabinets all feature dovetail drawers on full extension concealed undermount soft close slides, as well as recessed can lighting on touch-switch controls. Ivan uses an interesting trick when he builds his china cabinets. Like most china cabinets, these are delivered in two pieces – a buffet base with a hutch that sits on top. Unlike inferior designs, Ivan builds the buffet base with no top, and instead attaches the buffet surface to the bottom of the hutch. A wooden bevel is attached to the underside of the buffet surface and sinks into the open buffet base, creating a solid, study piece of furniture.

The English Shaker Collection is incredibly versatile from classic country to crisp contemporary, depending on the wood and stain selected. All cabinets feature an option for full hutch doors or an exposed counter, giving you the option of extra storage or serving space. Choose flat laminated wood or solid tongue and groove back. Plate grooved glass shelves with wood facing give a solid appearance while allowing light to shine through your displays, or upgrade to plate grooved hardwood shelves. Add a custom-fit silverware drawer inset for added convenience.
