How Much Does an Amish Dining Table Cost?

Many people assume that a hand-crafted Amish dining table is out of their price range. But the truth is that there are a lot of factors that go into the price of an Amish dining table. By better understanding what can affect the price of a solid wood dining table, our customers can more easily find a style they like while staying within their budget.

The most obvious thing that will determine the price of your Amish dining table is the table size, including the number of leaves. Our tables are priced in 6” size increments, which means that any given table offers up to 15 standard sizes. Obviously, a 48” wide X 72” long table will be much more expensive than a 36” wide x 48” long. Understandably, adding leaves to the table will increase the price as well.

The style of the table base is usually the next biggest factor determining the cost of an Amish dining table. In general, a leg table uses less wood than a pedestal table, which typically uses less wood than a trestle table. Unsurprisingly, the amount of wood used in creating the table style will largely influence the price of the table.

The wood species chosen for your table will also affect the price of your new Amish dining table. We build in a variety of North American hardwoods, with a selection of stains ranging from light to dark at all price points. Oak is always our most economical option and is available in more than 20 stain colors.

Specialty features will also increase the cost of your table. One of our most popular styles is our Abbington Live Edge Trestle Table, which spotlight the tree’s natural edges on the long ends of the table, but this uniqueness comes at a premium price. Hand-planed tops, metal bases, distressing, and two-tone finishes are other popular options that raise the price of your table.

OK. So what does an Amish dining table actually cost?

If you’ve read this far, you hopefully can understand why we don’t publish prices on our website. Our small store simply doesn’t have the resources to compile, publish, and update prices for all of the many options we can offer. The only way to know what you’ll actually spend for our built-to-order furniture is to visit our showroom, where we can take the time to help you through the selection process. However, for your reference only, here are some prices for our most popular dining tables, as we have them displayed in our store. Remember, these are only guidelines, and not a guarantee. Your price may be higher or lower than what is shown here. And remember, prices and offerings are subject to change.
