Our Favorite Pittsburgh Mills Mall Stores

We get a lot of questions about what’s going on here in the Pittsburgh Mills mall. Truth is, despite persistent rumors, the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills has some fantastic locally-owned businesses that make a visit worth your while. Here are our favorite stores in the Pittsburgh Mills mall.

Home Collection

“Pittsburgh’s most beautiful store, located in the most unlikely destination.” Home Collection carries a beautiful selection of home furnishings, accessories, and seasonal specialties. Founded in 1988, Home Collection previously was known as Home & the Holidays and was located in Oakmont before moving to the mall in 2016.

Top Hat Formals

Top Hat carries an incredible array of formalwear to satisfy many tastes, from classic styles to trendy colors, and even quirky options like camo tuxes in any hue you can imagine. New this year, Top Hat has opened a Monroeville location of gowns & dresses, allowing them to focus on men’s styles in the Pittsburgh Mills location. This means new options, like slim and ultra-slim fit suits, suit separates, and premium suits available for purchase.

Bradley’s Book Outlet

With its headquarters in nearby Blawnox, Bradley’s Book Outlet has been successfully adapting to the changing retail environment since 1993, when they opened their first location in downtown Pittsburgh. In the past few years, Bradley’s Book Outlet has concentrated on opening mall locations to replace the large bookstore chains that have been closing in the past few years. In addition to outlet prices, Bradley’s Book Outlet in the Pittsburgh Mills mall features a selection of Amish fiction novels.

New Dimensions Comics

With 6 locations, over 30 years’ experience, plus a recommendation from the legendary Stan Lee himself, New Dimension Comics is the biggest chain of comics, games, and collectibles in the Pittsburgh area. Describing their store as “over 10,000 square feet of nerdy goodness,” NDC Pittsburgh Mills features a bonus game space where fans play Pokémon, Magic the Gathering, D&D, and more.

Twirl Time Studios

Twirl Time is much more than your average dance studio. Using slogans like “If We Are Confident, We Are Beautiful,” Twirl Time focuses on teaching children leadership through a positive, respectful, team-oriented learning environment. Owner Marianne Brash-Reig was recently honored as the 2019 Greatmats National Dance Instructor of the Year (read more about that here).
